AhlulBayt News Agency: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baqaei stated that Tehran’s football stadium was targeted by the United States whose President Donald Trump received a FIFA “Peace Prize".
Baqaei on Saturday shared images online showing Azadi Sports Complex in Tehran, which was struck in the ongoing attacks by Washington and the Zionist regime against Iran.“This is Tehran’s Azadi Sports Complex, a football stadium, targeted by the same United States whose president received a FIFA “Peace Prize,” the spokesman wrote on social media.
The Azadi Stadium, Iran’s largest sports complex, was bombed on Thursday, as Israel and the US have continued to attack Tehran and other cities across the country. All sections of the indoor hall and surrounding buildings at the complex were destroyed.In December, Trump, who campaigned aggressively for a Nobel Peace Prize, was awarded FIFA’s newly created peace prize.
“Any comment from FIFA or IOC [International Olympic Committee]?!” Baqaei asked.
